ABOUT US
Chef Yeung's Handmade Delicacies is based in Vancouver, B.C. and was founded in 2020. The handmade delicacies are made with great attention to health and taste. Made with all-natural ingredients, the pastries have just the right amount of sweetness: perfect for a guilt-free treat!

The signature Handmade Pineapple Cakes are made with fresh pineapples and contain trehalose, a healthier alternative to refined sugar (each cake contains only 2-2.5 grams of trehalose).

Who is Chef Yeung?

Chef Yeung was born in Chiuchow (Chaozhou) and raised in Hong Kong. He followed his father into the Chiuchow cuisine world and became one of the master chefs who inherited the delicious food during The Republic of China. During his lifetime, he operated the Chiuchow cuisine restaurants in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and China.
Chiuchow cuisine is known as one of the deluxe cuisines and top-rated dishes, and it had influenced by Cantonese cuisine in its technique and style. From the signature Chiuchow fishball noodles, master stock (lou seoi), superior ingredients such as abalone and shark fins, to snacks and candies. Besides that, Chef Yeung had also delved into Cantonese cuisine, roasted meat, dim sum, etc.; he is like a magician, nothing can challenge him.

About ten years ago, buyers in Hong Kong’s largest supermarket chain store had tasted Chef Yeung’s handmade Taiwanese pineapple cakes and wanted to introduce them to the public. Although this is just a piece of cake for him, it is fortunate for those of us who had eaten it since we could experience a colourful flavour that no one has.

Unfortunately, Chef Yeung passed away a few years ago, leaving the secret recipes to pass on to the next generation (his children and the grandchildren). However, we are lucky that we are adhering to his principles of eating healthy and using natural ingredients with less sugar. We hope there will be more Chef Yeung’s secret delicacies to share with you all soon!
